Beauty Haul Part Two!

Hello wonderful people!

I am doing another (unexpected) haul, so essentially this is part two with skin and hair care and the second being the make-up side of the haul in another blog post.

Section 1

Hair care and skincare
 Huggies Natural Care Wipes
This is a strange purchase for me but I bought this based on the fact that many other beauty bloggers have said that baby wipes can be just as good as normal facial wipes... and I have to agree! They are cheaper, you get more in a pack, and the wipes are bigger. I generally use face wipes when a) I'm not wearing waterproof make-up and b) I'm too tired to take off my make-up properly. I bought this from Superdrug on offer for 99p RRP:£2.49.

Ted Baker Body Scrub
When I bought this, I was actually rushed due to my boyfriend's continues whining; "Are you done?", "Can we go now", and  "Just choose one already". So I grabbed this without actually doing any back ground reading. After buying this I read up online that it leaves a greasy feeling on your skin, but I hope this isn't the same with me. I bought this from Boots for £8.00.

Cyclax Moistura Replenishing Night Cream
I bought this on a whim that I needed a night cream in order to combat the dry patches on my face. I have combination skin so I didn't want to try a heavy cream so I thought I would use this one... and it was cheap (I'm student... go figure). I bought this from Fragrance direct for £2.99 RRP: £4.75.

TRESemme Thermal Creations Style Creator Spray
I have already spoke about a similar product in my Empties blog post, I believe that these are the same products just different packaging. I bought this from Fragrance direct for £1.99 RRP: £5.50.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Butter
These body butters I have heard so much about and how amazingly moisturising they are! So when I saw a massive sale sign promoting these body butters for just £5.00 from £13.00 I couldn't help but go grab this one which smells like passion fruit (obviously). However, I realised today that on the Body shop website you can get them for a further 40% of the sale price, leading to just £3.00 for these 200ml Body Butters!!!! I therefore picked up two more. If you are interested in this amazing offer click here. Use code: 19804 to get a further 40% off.

The Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Back Spray
I bought this because I'm getting a few spots appearing on my back again and I thought I would give this a go to help clear them up. Or this could be just another gimmick, which I hope it isn't as it seems really good judging by the reviews on Boots. I bought this for £4.99.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Sensitive advanced SPF 50+
I bought this obviously due to the sun actually being out in England so I thought I might as well protect my skin from sunburn and the ageing that the sun rays bring. I read recently that you should be wearing sunscreen all year round as the sun rays can still penetrate your skin even in the Winter! I think I may start to wear sun cream all year round, but perhaps just on my face and neck as most other areas are covered in other seasons. Another fun fact to know is that make-up or creams that say they have just SPF in them will not protect you from UVA rays (ageing and cancer causing rays) or infrared light (ages the skin also). If you want to protect yourself from all rays, pick up a cream with the words 'high UVA protection' or 'broad spectrum'. UVB will only stop you from burning. I got this cream from Superdrug for £3.23 RRP: £6.49.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Beauty Haul!!!

Hello wonderful people!

I apologise for my absent post last week but I had quite a few things to do in general life, (as you all probably know all too well yourselves) BUT to make up for it I have a haul post!

Overall photo
As I have got quite a lot to talk about I'm going to do in two sections...

Section 1

Sleek blushes in 'Flamingo' and 'Pixie pink'
Starting from the left, we have two sleek blushes in Flamingo (darker shade) and Pixie Pink (lighter shade). I can not wait to try these as they are such beautiful colours, Flamingo being a matt, bright, 'pop of pink' colour and Pixie Pink being a matt bright bubble gum pink. Sleek blushes are known for there silkiness and super pigmentation so I can't wait to start using these! I bought them both from Superdrug for just £4.49 each!

Stila Blush in 'all you need is love'
This is a beautiful blusher with lovely shades of pink and a gold over-spray on top of the letters. When these shades are mixed it produces a beautiful brink pink colour, very pigmented and probably one of the silkiest blushes I own. It is so pretty I almost don't want to touch it, but admire it. I bought this from Feel Unique for £12.

Borghese Nail Lacquer in 'Plumaggio Purple' and 'Patina Pearl' and Borghese Brilliante 'Base and Top coat'
These came in a nice little trio together with Plumaggio Purple that looks like a shimmery plum colour in the bottle, however when I tested this on one nail it was more of a deep blue with plum purple undertone. The Patina Pearl polish was definitely a sheer pearly shimmer colour that is great for just adding that extra something to a plain nail. The base and top coat will hopefully make the nail polishes last longer and give my nails a nice finish. I got these on sale in TK maxx for just £4.99.

TIGI Bed Head 'Elasticate' Shampoo and Conditioner
I bought this shampoo and conditioner in order to improve the condition of my hair and to also promote hair growth. These are protein based, so I am a little bit worried that these will make my hair worse by putting too much protein into my hair, however when looking at reviews of these products it seems it will do wonder's for hair... we shall see! I got the shampoo for £12.99 for a 750ml bottle (BARGAIN) and the conditioner for £11.99 for a 750ml bottle (again, BARGAIN) from Fragrance Direct.

Rimmel London Glam'eyes quad in 001 'Smokey Noir'
These little quad's I have found to be quite handy and okay in quality. I do like the colours in this palette which is matt black, shimmery dark grey, shimmery light grey and a shimmery silver. I can't wait to test this out as I do love my smokey eye looks! I got this for £2.25 from Fragrance Direct.

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water
This is actually a re-purchase because I am in love with this product! I have combination to oily skin and this has done wonders for keeping most of those spots and blackheads at bay (I say most as one or two have fought their way through). This is also so refreshing on the skin! A 250g bottle retails for £7.50, however I got this and another Lush product in exchange for my Celestial cream as the ingredients separated after only having it for a couple of months, plus it was too greasy for my skin and I ended having breakouts.

Barry M: Silk Nail paint in 'Heather' and Gelly Hi-Shine Nail paint in 'Huckleberry'
I LOVE barry M nail polishes and I really liked the look of these. Huckleberry is a pastel blue colour with a shiny finish and Heather is a beautiful pastel lilac colour with a matt finish. Such beautiful spring/summer colours! I got these for £3.99 each from Superdrug.

Section 2
L'Oreal paris Telescopic mascara in 'Magnetic Black'
I love the L'Oreal Voloume Million lashes Noir Excess so I thought I would give another L'Oreal mascara a go too. I can't wait to see the results and if it is any better. I got this in a 3 for 2 deal in Boots but it is retailed at £10.99.

Rimmel London Colour Rush Balm in 'On Fire'
This is a lovely red/pink colour, with a lovely glossy finish so not too drying on my lips. I got this for £5.99 at Boots.

Maybelline New York Eye studio Gel Liner 24H in 'Black'
I couldn't help but test this straight away! I found it is so easy to use, great pigmentation and lasted till I took it off which was 12 hours later. AMAZING PRODUCT!! It also comes with its own gel liner brush. Has been called a dupe to the Mac and Bobbi Brown gel liners, some beauty guru's have said that it is even better! I got this for £7.99 from Boots.

Rimmel ScandalEyes: eye shadow stick in 'Bulletproof Beige' and waterproof Kohl Kajal in 'Nude'
These both looked so enticing! The nude eye pencil will be great for days I want a more natural look and will open my eyes more. The eye shadow stick is a beautiful colour when swatched but when I tried to test it on my eyelids the product didn't distribute evenly... maybe a bit more practise with it is required... and lots of blending? I got the Eye shadow stick for £4.49 and the Kajal eye pencil for £3.99 at Superdrug.

Thanks for reading and tell me if you have used any of these products and your thoughts about them.
